Islington Pie and Mash wedding
Islington First Look, pie and Mash wedding
Sally and Loz got married on a very HOT day in July. Sally is a midwife and Loz is a chef, both are super cool and very chilled, the perfect compliment to a hot day !
Sally got ready at home with her best mates form uni, did her own hair and makeup and kept it cool and simple. I loved their house and especially their photo wall. ( I hope some of mine make the cut!!)
All the girl wore shades of green. Each one popped with a gorgeous bunch of bright and colourful roses and meadow flowers. The bride wore a Phase Eight dress with a pair of flats. Now this is a girl after my own heart!
They wanted to do a first look in the park just behind their house, before heading off to Islington Town Hall. So we walked round the corner and these two gorgeous humans laid eyes on each other in all their finery for the first time. It was wonderful to witness.
The day was full of laughter and colour, the flowers, the confetti, and DELICIOUS food .. Pieminister delivered their always excellent pie, mash and mushy peas with lashings of gravy… hell YEA!
Sally made a very moving speech as she had sadly lost her Grandma only a few days before, but the joy and love in that room was a testament to what a wonderful family she left.
We took a wander out for photos later and the Islington fire Brigade were most generous with the use of the front of their building which made for an epic backdrop, even though I did have to sit in the middle of Islington High Street.
Bloody loved this wedding ~ Thanks for sharing it with me ~ and now Im sharing it with all of you ~
