Art is my therapy. I have used it as an emotional, creative & story telling outlet for as long as I can remember. I find a peace in the process, the sketching & planning & real joy when I know it finds its way to a new home.
One of my coolest moments.
My artwork up next to an original Bansky!!
One of my proudest moments.
Creating the artwork for The Knights of Mentis CD,
in memory of my sister.
I love getting a creative challenge.
Bespoke dust jackets for the Harry Potter series as a birthday gift for a big fan.
I mainly work in paper. The artistic process can take time but always starts with a sketch, drawing on inspiration I take from around me, shapes, patterns, colours. If it’s a commission I try and find something that resonates with who I am creating it for ~ a story, a saying, a song lyric ~ something to make it really personal. Often these are little hidden things that take time to find.
I then draw out the final piece & I cut it out using a fine scalpel, by hand & with patience ~ no laser cutting here!
I use all sorts of papers in my work & source these from all over the place. I have drawers filled with old maps, book pages & tiny bits of interesting paper that one day will find their home. Each piece is individual and no two will ever be the same.
You can see more of my work on my blog.
Each piece of artwork is priced individually as it varies so much on the size and complexity of the piece.
I do my very best to keep my artwork affordable for everybody, without becoming a starving artist myself.
If you would like to talk to me about a bespoke piece of artwork, either for yourself or as a gift, then do drop me a message and we can get some creative juices flowing. I can also provide gift vouchers.
