Devon Beach tipi wedding

Devon Beach tipi wedding… well thats sounds awesome doesn’t it ?!  Well I can tell you it was ! Jill and Doug got married in their local church surrounded by their friends and family, and then headed down to Branscombe beach to spend the afternoon by the sea in a tipi.  Games on the beach, buckets of gin, wonderful food and love and laughter.

Jill wore a vintage wedding dress.  The lace was over 100 years old.  It was so beautiful and elegant and she looked simply stunning. It makes you wonder about what other weddings the dress had seen and what stories it holds.  The latest story it’s shared is one of true soul mates finding each other and getting married on a beautiful September day.

Doug’s son was his best man and gave a wonderful speech, which at 16 I was very impressed with. They have a wonderful relationship as a family and it was truly an honour to share in their day.

I’ll let the pictures tell the story.

I’m a mum, a hoarder of things useful and not so useful, an avid skip junkie ~ I can never go to the tip without bringing something new home!

I love scrabble, a glass of red wine, music, buttons, string ~ all the beautiful paper, old books, wooden boxes, rainbows, junk shops, birds, Thai food, sunlight through trees, shapes, patterns ~ the world is a visual feast ~ and my world is in pictures.

In both my art and my photography I want to create something that has a lasting meaning.
